Claiming Your Property

Filing a Claim

If you are claiming property in the possession of the state, you must complete and sign the COT ST912 claim form (PDF) and forward it along with the supporting documentation to the following address, also located on the front of your claim form.

If you found your name on the Comptroller's website, follow the directions, and provide all requested information.

If you prefer to contact a representative by phone, you will need to provide the claim number found on the listing and the owner's name. If a search of our database results in any matches between the information you provide and data reported to us, possible ownership is indicated, please complete and submit a claim form for processing.
